Cut back on the roids?

Seriously: week before a comp should be MAX rest. Less lifting, more resting.

You might be overtraining?

this week is peak of (none roid) cycle, next week is rest then comp next weekend. During the rest week I wont go over the weight of my opening lifts. If I take a complete week off my form will be off on the day. Always after a weeks total break I lose strength, so will be active recovery like a deload week.

I have given up alcohol for the next 2 weeks!

A week off means a week off mate, no lifting. You'd have just finished a peaking cycle, you won't lose strength or form with 7 days off. You want to be feeling fresh as a daisy on comp day, not with any lingering soreness.

more importantly, take your shirt off and rub your back against the edge of a doorframe as normal people do.

who could reach all their itchy parts in the back anyway!

I just checked, there is no part of my back that I can't reach.

Maybe you guys need to lose the obsession with benching, try to keep some balance in the shoulders.

I can reach most of the pimples, but not in a fashion that I can get my fingers around them to squeeze them, its like torture.
Having just checked, a part of my back is definitely not accessible, my lats get in the way.
Not sure who has the obsession with benching either, I seem to remember it being something you really got into?
