A source has revealed the secret dinner plans for the Royal wedding reception

At their Royal Wedding Prince William & Catherine Middleton and guests are to eat a mini vegan version of the traditional Great British dish, steamed steak and Kidney pudding that features wild mushroom and walnuts in a rich porter gravy instead of steak and kidney.

The Queen has decided that because there are so many guests from different cultures with different religious and ethical dietary requirements that the most sensible solution is to go totally plant based to avoid diplomatic embarrassment with a Hindu dignitary eating beef or ......

This story broke on 1st April, so I wrote it off as a joke.

If it's true, it is brilliant publicity for us, but I'm not holding my breath...

Yeah that would explain it, cant see any date on this article. April fools is such a stupid tradition.

PETA have done hoaxes like this - like saying Obama was vegan. I think April Fools Day is more likely here though. Kate Middleton shoots animals and the Queen does too, so I don't think the story's that likely.

I looked into this and yes, it's a hoax all right. Quite a cleverly-written one.

The sites and blogs still running the "news" item should do the decent thing and announce the hoax.

I would hate for the royals to be associated with veganism, Id probably call myself a non lacto non ovo strict vegetarian if they ever were...
