Postby V-Igor » Fri Feb 18, 2011 11:18 pm

Hiiii!

I'm training to be a MMA fighter.
I would like to share with you my last amateur Muay Thai fight and see what you think. It happened in the last saturday. I'm the guy in red trunks.

Indeed. Can't teach that :)

Well done, man! You really kept your technique well, even when the shit went down.

How popular is striking in Rio relative to grappling?

I think he's ok because just after the fight the doctor said to me that it wasn't a major injury.

That's the most difficult part. Watching the video, i could notice some mistakes that in the moment i couldn't. I'm going to work on it.

Nowadays, it's very similar in number of practitioners but the grappling competitions are more appreciateds. The level of the competitors are higher in grappling, the financial return to the professional athletes is bigger(not too much but much more than the striking ones)...

Woah you're an animal. Brutal frontkick to wind your oponent from the get go - great strategy.

Nice foot sweep as well, do you get points for sweeps??

I really like to do this kind of kicks, it's very efficient.

No, i don't. That's more like a psychological game with the adversary. No one likes to be throwed to the ground.

Actually, most muay thai fights that i have seen are decided in points. Maybe it's just a local thing...i don't know. Thanks anyway.
