Vegan shoes (not trainers)

Postby Konstantin » Mon Feb 28, 2011 3:25 pm

I need shoes to wear to work (eg with a suit) and have been buying cheap synthetic ones. The problem is they are extremely non-hardwearing and look old in a few weeks.

Vegetarian Shoes and a few other companies provide options but before I shell out for some, does anyone have any recommendations?

I got a pair from here -> http://www.bboheme.com/ very expensive but very nice looking. The first night I wore them out partying someone put a stiletto heel through the toe box. So now my very expensive shoes have a hole in them :(

Best solution is to get a job that you dont need to wear a suit. Ideally a job that shoes are optional.

You can customise everything. I got some office-type shoes from them, they last for years. Really good quality.

Neon Collective in Brighton sells some Novacas

Very hard to get in the UK though, but everyone I know who has their shoes has been impressed.

I was in the Bourgeois Boheme shop last month and their own brand BB men's shoes are really fancy, and they look well made. Van and Alicia who run the company are very nice people and worth supporting. I know it has been very challenging for them to get their unique designs manufactured, and keep up to date in a niche market.
