Eh, an update is needed. I did two 10k and they felt awful. I hate the distance and how fast those races are. Also, those were two races I already did in 2010 with perfect weather conditions (15-20°C, cloudy), and this year on both days it was sunny with temps about 10°C higher than last year... I can't stand this heat on the road.
So, I decided I'd drop the 10k goal and start training for the 30k in September.
Then I got a cold after running a 10 mile race under the rain last month, and have only recently started breathing normally.
I went out for 16k yesterday and it felt great. I'm planning to add a km every week if I can.
