Got round to seeing Equilibrium on Saturday night at last. really enjoyed it. The missus saw it before and didn't think much of it, enjoyed it more 2nd time round. I thought it was really thought provoking and involving. Liking the minimalist sets and script and although the fight sequences were far fetched, still good.

Yes, good film, really touching too. It struck a note with me because I'm having a mild midlife crisis and it just remined me it's never too late.

I saw Toy Story 3 last night with the wife and kids. It had us all in the palm of their hands, great chase and escape scenes, really funny, and nearly had us all crying too. Honest, it was nearly. One of the best films I've seen for a while.

Have recently watched:

Son of Rambow - Loved this. A tender film about childhood friendship, with loads of subtle humour.

Red - The reviewers disliked this cos they didn't seem to realise it was all a big send-up of CIA action movies. Some of the best OTT explosions I've ever seen, and John Malkovitch gets all the best lines.

Enter The Dragon - Dunno why it took me so long to getting around to waching this. Some very, very contrived bits (eg. oh, there's a poisonous snake, how handy), but they are forgiven for the punchy pace, noble morals and great fight scenes.

Harry Potter part XXVVVI - One of the better HP films; very dark and brooding with loads of tension and not as much bad acting as some of the others.

Finally saw District 9 the other day. Usually hate "Alien meets Earthlings" films but this was surprisingly refreshing! Really well done on a lot of different levels I thought. :)

GREAT movie! Loved it, if you havent seen it... do so, now! :D
Gotta love Woody Harrelson, plays his character almost too well.

Zombieland was almost as good as the film it was based on. Liked the pop-up graphic to illustrate the "rules" and yeah Woody was very dry.

District 9 is ace!

I watched "Being John Malkovich" a coupla nights back. Weird, but really solidly acted.

We watched Panique au Village or Panic in the village, very very funny silly film... 7 of us watched it and we all laughed out loud. Dont be put off by the fact that its an animation its very whacky. Cant find a really good clip to show but its fast paced, and hilarious imo :-) watch in French if you can cos the voices are better, the French is very easy but there's subtitles too

Giggled childishly throughout, VERY tongue in cheek. Comedy "vegan police" moment funny too, if you don't take yourself seriously....

I watched this last night, very funny and silly, really loved the ex with vegan super powers :)

Is that the prison experiment? Watched a german version couple of years ago, name was something like Das experiment. Frightning stuff.
