I don't have a fancy bike computer, so i cannot upload the data, is that the only way?

You need to go to Journal in the top menu then add ride is 1st option. If you are in club home though you first have to Exit Club (top menu) to get to the menu with Journal on. I had a bit of a struggle with this at first but have now somehow set it so it takes me straight to add ride when I login.

There's probably other ways to the same place.

When i click add ride, i only got the following fields:
Ride date
ride type
Bike
Club

Then i click 'add ride' and it shows me the journal. But no distance?

Weird :?

I get the fields you've got PLUS distance, altitude gain and average speed.

Further down the 'journal' menu I have 'configure journal' which seems to allow you to select the fields - maybe yours aren't all checked (though I'm sure mine were by default).

Thanks for your help, i went to configure journal and the options aren't there either. I started a thread on their forum, hopefully they know what's going on.

Did you never manage to get access to post your rides then benzilla? I suspect the bikezone competition realised they couldn't cope with another fixed wheel vegan and cyber trashed your account

Wonder if it's worth just scrapping the account and re-registering.

I see we're 39th of 547 clubs at the moment with only a couple of those having less active members than us 8)

Where's Philthy Builder and whatever happened to Man On Bike ?
I'm sure they'd bump us up the table a few places.

I'm 515/2331 on the individual stats.
All of it on a mountain bike, half of it off road, quarter of it in the dark and most of it on a single speed. 8)

Here's philthy builder! not done much riding yet as I broke my arm in December so was out of action till the end of January.I dont have even a basic cycle computer and dont log miles or anything like that but will have a look at bike journal to see what its all about.

I never did find out why those sections were missing. I'll take your advise and cancel and re-register when i have time. It looks bad me sitting in the group with a big fat zero!

When googling how to cancel my account, i found a decent 'how to'.

I needed to add some extra columns, you'd think distance should be included by default.

Anyway, time to start adding the km's!

Good work Ben! Remember to put a bulk entry for all the k's you've done so far for the year at the start. :) That should bump us up a few places! :D

Bike journal has always worked for me, but I have heard complaints on YACF. I forgot I'm the club admin person on bike journal, I don't think there's any tweaks I can do, but I'll have a look next time I'm on there.

Don't worry about that, the aim is to get us to the top of the list ;-)
