EDGE: Perspectives on Drug Free Culture
A 90 minute documentary from Marc Pierschel and Michael Kirchner
28 years after the band Minor Threat released the song ‘Straight
Edge’, the ideas it contained have spread worldwide through the punk
and hardcore music scenes and beyond. Straight edge bands and kids can
be found throughout the world and in countries as diverse as Costa
Rica, Argentina, South Korea, the UK, America and Germany.
EDGE explores 9 lives and gives a close and personal look at how
straight edge has changed the world for them. Through interviews with
musicians that shaped the culture of straight edge and its music scene
from inception, EDGE reveals why straight edge happened and what it
means today.
