Its really good fun walking with a group of vegans, sharing treats on a hillside with jolly people you have lots in common with is a real pleasure.
The walk itself is quite tough, 39km with 1,600m of ascent. It starts at Horton-in-Ribblesdale and the route takes in Pen-y-ghent 694m, Whernside, 736m and Ingleborough 723m. It does get pretty muddy in places and folk need good walking boots, full water proofs etc, we’ll provide a proper kit list. There are two first aiders in the team, navigation will be provided but new folk do need to be competent and have a good fitness level. We cant take responsibility for folk especially if they do dim witted things like not eat, carry too much or too little kit or get pissed en route.
We’ll all be staying in Horton the night before and after so get to have a drink and a chill. We'll camp or stay in bunk barns
The aim of the walk is to complete in 12 hours, we would be hoping to do in less than 9
