I'm not planning to lower my goal (yet). I need some good long runs to do some damage control.

Stupid challenge, the graph says it all. Motivation is pretty much gone.

week 9:
sun 4mi/6.4km
wed 3mi/4.8km
sat 4.6mi/7.4km

week 10: bad week
sun 2.5mi/4km
wed 2mi/3.2km

week 11 isn't looking much better. i've been fighting off a nasty cold, when not at work i've mainly been sitting on the couch in my pajamas with a book and box of kleenex. unfortunately my appetite hasn't been affected; i really need to get out and run soon.

Week 11: 0
Feeling much better, though. I'll get out and run tomorrow.

ilovecake wrote:So good! Thanks for asking. Yesterday, I did right front splits for the first time ever. Sunday is my last round of Handstands and Flexibility, but in mid-January I start ten more weeks of Flexibility and ten weeks of Aerial Fitness and Conditioning. I'm getting stronger, but I still have a long way to go as far as upper body strength is concerned. I've been getting by okay with trapeze stuff, but I can't climb the rope to save my life. Having something else fitness-y going on has resulted in running being more enjoyable, too.

Nice! That sounds intense. I love the circus (all human circuses only, of course); going to see Cirque du Soleil for the first time next month and I'm really looking forward to it, I think they're amazing.

Time flies. My last total will probably be my final total (+20k maybe). My new job is close enough for bike commuting, so not a lot of energy left for running.

Is this thing over yet?

I envisioned myself running barefoot on the beach every morning in Costa Rica but that didn't happen. I did do a lot of walking and hiking, though.

Grand Total: 83.1 mi/133.7km, plus a few miles (5ish? I didn't write it down) from a few of weeks back... so basically I averaged less than one mile a day. Impressive. :| Thanks to everyone for not making a chart.

I'm pretty happy with my result. My total now is about 840km. Not the 1000km I wanted but still more than I would normally do.
