well I know where I want to be for everything else but for this with it being so new my goals are:

Learn to do properly! Squat and deadlift my weight which is approx 54kg :-)

do chin ups without assistance

learn some more stuff... no idea how long any of this will take though

All pretty much dependent on where we end up next year when we move back to England and the proximity of weightlifting clubs.

but hey, no weightlifting goals, so no need for a club? :)

Good luck everyone with your goals!

If we end up near a club then I'll focus on weightlifting again and add in snatch and C&J goals. I'd still like to get the squat goals whatever happens.

Bench up from 77.1kg (170lb) to 100kg (225lb)
Bodyweight/fat: eh don't really care so long as i don't go past the 82.5kg/182lb class
I can see the next race coming. :D

This year I increased my total by 50 kg, despite not having trained at all for the first half.

The most important thing is to stay uninjured and healthy. With this in mind, I think I can increase my total by 100 kg, reaching 420 kg.

Second goal is to have bigger numbers than Lordmuppet (which includes bodyweight). Since he might not make it to the Four Hundred, this goal is only secondary.

I want to beat my vegetarian PB's that I set 4 years ago.

200kg Deadlift
150kg Squat
105kg Bench

So gonna try for minimum 20kg more on DL & squat & 10 on bench.

It is impossible to look into the future, but its possible to look into the past. So I am using some history to set my targets for 2011!
Code: Select all
Year   Bodyweight   Total   Increase
2008   87             335
2009   87             405     70
2010   100            465     60

2010 has been a great year in that it included some time training at the legendary unit20. It has been sub optimal in that I have trained at over 5 different gyms so getting into any kind of consistent groove was hard.
2011 looks like it is going to be similar with 5 week working holiday in Cape Town already on the cards and a change of country planned for later in the year. Despite this it is still going to be a good year and 500kg total will fall.

So the goal* is 500kg total (ideally achieved by putting 35kg on your squat). The other nice to have goal is to swim 1 mile in under 30 minutes.

<edit>and I want to do another comp</edit>

* goals are liable to change multiple times over the course of the year

still trying to hit some of the 2010 targets, but in 2011 i'll be gunning for

squat: 220kg raw (no wraps), 245kg equipped
bench: 170kg raw touch and go, 200kg equipped with pause
deadlift: 250kg raw, 260kg hitched mvs style
and also to jump (at least!) two places on the strength table

300lb bench! I can barely squeeze out 100kg at the moment, but with the uncompromising stick-to-itiveness that enabled me to add 2.5kg to my squat this year, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a possibility that I could do it.
20 bodyweight chinups
15 bodyweight pullups
80kg strict overhead
stay at 100-105kg but reduce paunchiness
