I do sometimes, here's my homemade one. Goes up to 60kg and cost about £15 to make.

Excellent! How did you make it please? It seems like it'll be a great addition to my training kit, but so expensive!! :(

You need 1 army issue duffel bag, easy to find on ebay (£9-10).

Sand, £1.50 for 20kg, b&q, homebase etc. Best not to use sharp sand.

6 x 9 inch sandwich bags,

fill each sandwich bag with 1 kilo of sand, seal and put into another sandwich bag and seal that one (doublebag). And fill as many as you need. Took about an hour to fill 50 bags.

Put into duffel bag. That's it.

In the photo I tied string at each end so the weight was evenly distributed. I think I was doing farmers walks that day.

Another vote for the sandbag and for Ross Enemait's low tech high impact type training.

An alternative is to use sacks of dog food. I do Happidog squats and presses sometimes when I get a new sack.

Another training tool which can be helpful (if you have them around) is children. Then can be persuaded to climb on your back and be pressed about, and are unevenly distributed etc. to make it a bit different from standards weights.
You can see my training log if you're really bored: www.veganfitness.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16086&start=360

I find the actual sand part of the sandbag a pain in the arse and intend to find an alternative filler. this vid has given me some ideas
