Problem converting measurements?

Here are some links that will help you convert to and from all kinds of measurement systems:

Google
type in the conversion like this:
4 deciliter in cups
4 oz in centiliters
56 pounds in kg
etc.
if you don't get the reply you expect, look for spelling mistakes or abbreviations.

A problem I've found is that American recipes measure by volume (cups) and English ones by weight (grams or ounces).

1 US cup = 225ml = ¾ UK cup = 110g wheat flour = 125g rice flour = 150g dried fruit = 200g lentils = 210g rice or sugar = 100g almonds = 110g cocoa or cornflour = 70g rolled oats or breadcrumbs.

(All are slightly rounded for convenience and measured by eye).

A US pint is smaller than an English pint. A cup is equal to half a pint in both systems.
