british steel fest - 07/11/10 - bologna (italy)
angel witch / fucking awesome!!! they played the entire first album.
girlschool / excellent brute force!
diamond head / huge disappointment. they only played "am i evil?" and "it's electric" from their first album. the rest was shitty melodic "hard" rock and the actual singer looks like he was borrowed from the backstreet boys.
demon / never got into them, but they were ok.
crying steel / the only italian band, highly influenced by maiden&priest.
grim reaper / yeah, yeah, yeahhhh. one of the fucking best nwobhm bands ever. they played all the classics, although the singer has lost his touch.
elixir / didn't know them ... okish.

I saw Reverend Horton Heat last night for the first time. They were amazing and did a great set that started off chronologically starting with stuff off the first album. There were big crowd reactions for It's Martini Time, Psychobilly Freakout, and their cover of Folsom Prison Blues. I'm so glad I got to see them.

Saw Faithless last night! They were on my bands to see before I die list. Was great, Maxi Jazz added some stuff about Cairo but no one seemed to care.


The opening act were a very famous South African group called Goldfish.

don;t get to many shows myself these days. went to see Pete Yorn last night as he's a favourite of a friend of mine. it's was just OK. Really wanted to see Danko Jones, but he/they aren't coming anywhere near me.

fantastic gig. the club is a hole, small and quite hot. i loved both groups. deerhunter really were at their max, loads of tracks were over noisily violated.
