I've been working as a relief letter carrier for Canada Post(the gov't owned postal service) since the beginning of the year. It can be a crazy job different everyday, with unexpected overtime. When i first started I was working 50 hours most week. There's a lot of walking at my job, some weeks 40 or more kilometers, and it's usually carrying a load of mail. Other weeks I might drive a truck and only walk a little. So despite not working out I've keep pretty good shape. I'm still strongish for my size(I deadlifted 130kg awhile ago and still squated 85 kg) but I'm no where near were I was at. My flexibility has suffered a lot from not stretching, I have to deal with that strictly from a health perspective too. The biggest thing is I've lost a lot of mass and I'm only 65-66kg right now. Less fat then ever though. I've been losing weight slowly but surely for the last two years from my biggest of 76-77 kilos.
I was glad to see the oly lifting vids and pics on facebook. I want to start competing again, come back late next year better then ever.
Just working out at home now. Going to do something like this:
Day 1
Power Clean + Push Press
Squat
Bent Row
v-ups
Day 2
Power Snatch
Good Morning
Chin-up
Reverse Crunches
Day 3
Deadlifts
Bench Press
Reverse Curls
5x5 style for now. maybe 3x3 for the Snatch and Push Press. Going to start light and build up a base of strength and endurance to be able to have a decent work. Then I'll start going to the lifting club again and get on a real program.
