I would be the person who did toooooo many hill repeats followed by a long swim toooo early this morning! Good news is we got the hill repeats out of the way before the sun came up and the swim before it hit 100!
Bad news is I have a 19 hour drive starting at 8pm tonight and heading back on Sunday. YUCK!

After one 20 hour drive to the Rockies to pick up my daughter and one verrry long return trip home. Not to mention work. I am going to bed. But before

An awesome bike ride along the Colorado River for two hours. Beautiful weather and beautiful scenery. I want to go back and go hiking for a few days. Just to get away from everything.

Returning to a regular schedule tomorrow. Need to seriously start upping my miles for a December marathon and

I missed this post! Sounds like a good training day. :) Not the drive tho!

Cycling in Colorado can be great, eh? Good luck getting back to a regular schedule. Any other races planned prior to the marathon?

Gotta love 43 hours of driving in 3.5 days!
There are a few short races and one tri in the fall.

Monday- sleep= a long day of work with no energy left that night
Tuesday-4 mile easy run-this is what happens when you drive 21 hours straight each way. 2am to 5am was the worst!
Wednesday- 6 miles easy
Thursday- 5 miles easy; 2500 swim working on turns
Friday-6 mile run with 2 mile tempo

ONE WEEK VACATION!

Life has its ups and downs I guess and I'm definitely on the down side especially with posting.
But there hasn't been a lot to post. I love my new bike that is not getting used. Finally got my new shoes broken in after a month  (low mileage lately) and the pool....well let's not talk about that.
The start of a new semester and solo with three kids just drained me. Oh well the money has been spent for December marathon and if I don't get my butt moving it will be wasted. soooo
Mon-Friday- nothing just trying to adjust to morning and evening lecture schedule and afternoon lab. Stinks to be at the bottom of the work ladder
Saturday-4 mile run-really just quit for no reason
Sunday-slept until noon

Ok enough complaining time to set the alarm and actually get up. I am just going to focus on running and an occasional bike ride until I feel better.

i totally love "downs" in life. it usually means that i'll allow myself extra portions of chocolate and/or (more "and" than "or") pistachios late at night. i'll frakking burn them calories on my next "up" day anyhow

cheer up :D
i'm focusing on some kind of stuff

sorry to hear it's still all a bit tough.

Give that poor bike some love, it must miss you!! Sounds like a good time to completely drop the swimming though, eh? Good luck staying on top of things.

I tried to love my bike today, but it was raining. So I decided just to like my bike and put it on the trainer!

Monday-5 mile run-one week off and I'm falling apart

Tuesday-1 hr on trainer. BORING but still a good workout

sounds like a good way to HATE your bike to me! 8)

If you've only had one week off and are complaining about it, just wait until I run again!

Wednesday- I must be getting old because I chickened out of a run. Usually I don't let rain, flooding, lightning, and tornadoes bother me. My other excuse is we have a new little puppy and she was scared. She has had a rough few weeks. Poor thing was covered in fleas, had a bowel infection, and both ears infected when we found her.

So true! She is now three months old and kicks my butt. I take her for a 1.5 mile run a few times a week. The way away from the house she runs slowly by my side. Nice enjoyable run. The way home  she sprints!!! The minute we turn to go home, she all out sprints. Not a good thing for two reasons: 1. She is pulling on the leash (required in city limits) and 2. She out sprints me. Where did she learn at 12 weeks to run that fast. I have had neighbors laughing who have seen us leave and then return
All evenings I am running an extra 1-2 miles with her.

Thursday-am 5 miles easy. Groin is very sore...who knows why

Friday-5 mile run

Saturday-11 mile Memorial run-easy pace for fun with friends
pm-decides to say @#@@# work and go for a 1 hr bike ride

Sunday-regretted the bike ride because I had to stay up late to work so slept in
pm 2 mile puppy training run

OK SERIOUSLY I"M GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT THE DECEMBER MARATHON NOW
