I could really use a hand

Postby braddd » Mon Aug 30, 2010 4:37 am

Lately I have been trying to come up with my own sort of eating plan. This is something I have always struggled with. I have been trying to eat a balanced diet all day, and find myself really hitting the wall at certain points in the day and reaching for poor food choices.

If anyone out there has some sort of pre-build meal plan that they could share with me I would appreciate it. It seems to be the one thing that is a well guarded secret in the vegan community for some reason. I just need some kind of a 6 meal structured plan for my day.

I was raised to snack and it's been a hard thing to break, but if I have a solid meal plan I know I can stick to it.

I am a 25 year old male, 220lb and exercise 4-5 days per week moderately. That being said I need to eat better so I can increase my workout frequency and intensity. I feel sapped lately.

What do you eat at the moment? Can you give what you eat on a typical day. It might not be that bad.

What are these poor food choices, they sound yummy :)

i dont think it is a well guarded secret mate :D I think there just arent any - because you dont really need one.

Especially as aa 220lbs physically active male, you probably put away so many calories, you would cover all nutritional basics eating what ever comes across. You can then fine tune it by small steps from more junky food towards so called healthier ones.

But like baldy said, your typical days current eating would be a good place to start if you could type that up?

i dont know how much you eat, but 'cravings' can be very common with under eating throughout the day. make sure your breakfast is the biggest meal of the day. ive been learning this and it has lowered my overall daily consumption of calories.

MikayP, thanks for the post, I totally agree with you and share the mind that the breakfast should be the greatest consumption of meal of the day as it helps you to consume less calories during the whole day then.

And if you do not want to consume less calories during the day?
