I just measured my thighs, 24inches at their largest point, now to convert that into big squats.

Some people just have larger thighs, without knowing your bodyfat percentage it is not really possible to say if they are too large (what is too large anyway) A larger waist is more of a worry, healthwise, and your waist is well within the healthy range.

Honestly, the best way to trim body fat is to eat a clean diet and do a combo of strength training and cardio. Just my humble opinion based on personal experience.
