Had access to the Unit20 texas power bar so pushed the envelope today.
Very nearly cleaned 90kg (strong enough to do it, just have not got my mind committed enough yet). Did manage to clean 87.5kg but then rather specularly manage to lost it in the jerk/press, with the plates sliding off the bar and everything crashing to the ground.

The weakest link is the clean.

They oftenget confused by the fact that they are almost half protein themselves.

I'm 12.5kg away from pushpressing my bodyweight, but at 60kg 12.5kg is still a fair way to go. Am going to try for 50kg soon though, I failed miserably at the lockout about a month ago and haven't tried it again since.

Strong!

Maybe could try using a bit of a jerk, that might take you within touching distance of bodyweight overhead.

No video, but maybe tonight if buzz lets me near the texas power bar again. Would actually be good to video my jerk technique.

Thanks.

I would try the jerk if I didn't find it so confusing and terrifying. I just can't get my head around, no matter how many videos I watch and instructions I read.
