You looked close to breaking through that sticking point, I really thought it was going up. Peak again and smash it.

+1 It was like one of those depressing film where you are waiting for a happy ending that never comes.

Trying to work on form, keeping the back more upright, wider stance. This is a good angle to video from as hides my depth and feet.
My knees look to come past my toes, is this a sign that I am not sitting back enough?

I think your problems are about letting the bar go forward. I'd try keeping the chest up a bit, tighten up the back. Maybe slow down your descent? It seems to get away from you a bit.

Still really come forward onto your toes. Drive through the heels, maybe angle your feet a bit less? Get some oly shoes :) If that fails, blame your 'levers'.

Played around with it today, keeping the chest through so it felt like it was higher than the bar and went down in a really slow controlled way. Felt good going down, not sure if I hit depth then coming up all the weight was on my quads and it felt horrible.
Is that the way its meant to feel?

On the last set of my 5x5 I had to do my normal quick decent and bounce up or I would have failed :(

Fundamentally the problem is that I am too tall, so my levers are wrong. One of the reasons all these short people are good at squatting. Oly shoes, they sound good do you know where I can get them? Maybe a blue pair that matches me eyes?

Also tried wider and narrower grip with thumb in and out, all felt horrible.

The problem is you don't have enough muscle to move the levers. 5 sets of 10. 100% not joking.

You've seen the video of Chakarov squatting, right? Check out the levers on that lanky freakazoid, then check out the quads.

“Begin at the beginning,” the King said gravely, “and go on till you come to the end. Then stop.”

that video is just sick.

can someone explain "levers" to me?

i've found when squatting that I can only do it comfortably w/ an open grip.

it's funny, as I have such a similar build to Baldy and similar issues. although he's younger and i'm sure get the more attention from the babes. :P
