OK I am not 100% Vegan, but am more than curious, especially after reading Brendan Brazier's "Thrive" book. It's even got my partner thinking about cutting back on meat and cooked foods generally. If it were just up to me, well I would be moving inexorably to a Vegan diet, I guess, but I don't much like to travel alone.
I had a sausage roll for lunch, along with a home made vegan pate and tomatoes and a plum and an apple. So I am getting there, slowly but surely. 2 and a half years ago I started going to the gym after years of over eating, over drinking and over smoking (God, I miss the good old days!). The gym was the best thing that happened to me. I know I am not shedding the fat and the pounds (or kilos), but I reckon if it took me 35 years of adult life to become a fat old git, it's going to take some time to put that right. I used to be over 100kg, now I am hovering between 95 and 94. Some progress has been made! My arms don't wobble like they used to when I do my deltoid exercises, so I guess some muscle has replaced some fat.
OK, that's enough. This website looks good, friendly and open-minded, a rare combination on the internet, and I look forward to learning more about my body, exercise and food and nutrition. After all, I need more love and attention now I'm older!
