Watched the Jake Shields fight on mma core - Jake is a lifelong vegetarian, so have some default sympathy for him!

Dan Henderson is a solid guy too, but was rooting for Jake from the start.

And he delivered with style - against all expectations! I kind of feel like he has been vindicated by this fight, that he is a true champion rather than just a guy who is in a easy promotion getting easy wins.

Post fight brawl was crazy, but should have guessed immediately that Diaz brothers were involved

Not only did he dominate Henderson (a natural LHW and two-time Olympic wrestler), but Jake is a natural WW who moved up so he wouldn't have to fight Nick.

I saw some of the betting lines listing Shields as a 3.5:1 dog. Which was absolutely shocking and reflected the general understanding of his skillset prior to the fight.

His disgracefully sad striking notwithstanding--Shields will be a force at MW AND WW for quite a while.

it sounds like Jake Shields is moving over to UFC and probably would get a title shot fairly soon - that would be against GSP.

...even if he is only a veggie, i will be rooting for him all the way

I wasn't impressed by his striking on the ground thogh. He dominated but didn't have the power to finish the fight.

Didn't know he was a veggie, but thats really great.
