Axle Clean and Press 80kg: Have not done it yet, should be in the bag, might give it a go this week. First event, lots of adrenaline. 50/50 odds.

120kg Farmers hold: Pickup still scares me, does not come off the ground very quickly, but done it plenty of times now and 20+ seconds. So 30+ seconds on the day, maybe my best event, hoping to take scalps from people who fail the pickup.

Loading: 85kg stone, 100kg stone, 100kg Keg, 120kg. 85kg stone no bother, 100kg stone never done before will give it another go on Tuesday or Thursday new interlinked finger technique may fix this. Wont bomb this event, but wont nail it.

Deadlift: 200kg for "reps". One is in the bag, I have done it before. Might depend how crazy I have gone in the loading. Been visualizing this in my head, I can see Mrs Baldy rubbing the talc powder on my legs already. Lots of foot stamping and raging before the event, mixed grip and rip it off the ground. Chalk up the one, step back flip off the belt, have some nose torq, strap up again and straight back hitch the double.

Medley: 220kg yoke -> 160kg Duck walk. My yoke has gotten better in the last two weeks, pickup is now fine but still really heavy. Nice and quick event probably my second best event. Will get my rage on for this event.

Attendees: Floey (Devil's Plaything), Jakob (both -105)

Jakob is definitely out - for me it looks bleak as well, since I have no possibility of training the events at all. Alex's facility is dead and the new one (close to my home) which has all the equipment wont be ready in time :(

I'm probably gonna compete in a drug free powerlifting meet in my home town though! :) And bettlescheich is gonna join in on that one!

Hannibal and myself will be doing the Victorian Open soon. It should be a large comp because it's one of the last chances to qualify in time to compete in the Nationals in a couple of months and we have a large crew from the club and a lot of the country's better lifters competing.

I might not bother with cutting weight and just compete as a 90. I'll get smoked in either class.

Oli is not coming since the federation is pretty small, there has been noone in his weightclass last year (niether in mine though ) and he'd have to travel for 5-6 hours... bummer though, since he'd probably be the overall champ! The cup will be on may 23rd

I've decided that I might still be doing a Strongman newcommer's cup a little later this year! :D And I'm also gonna do a natural BB show in October  (yes, yes, I know I'm a disco-pussy etc., but whatever... Sigmarsson and Kalsen used to do BB shows as well ;))

Yeah, good luck from me too! :D

And @JP: Yes, you're right about the natural thing! But last time I cut down to way less then 10% BF (Caliper said something between 4 and 5, I guess it was 6-7 really) I gained massive amounts of strength afterwards and hardly lost any during the cutting. The top secret is to use creatine until the last moment possible and make use of the anabolic diet (very high fat and Protein intake and almost no carbs during the week, then two days of carb loading). ;) I'm pretty confident to be even stronger by the end of the year than by the time I start cutting.

Is that like Aussie astro glide?

I nailed a double DL at 200kg last night so one less event I should get owned in on the day.

I'll go on the competition platform on the 1st of may, and I'm really looking forward to it :D. Technically I will be lifting somehow outside of competition since it is a team comp and I'm not (yet) on the team but that doesn't bother me. I also plan to lift in the national championship of the social democratic sports union by end of June. Goal for that comp is 95/115.

for the first time in my competitive history i have pulled out of a comp, barnards castle on 31st of may.

Thats because there will be a 105 strongman comp on the same day i will be doing! Ironically I probably would place higher on the open category Barnards comp :D But I love going against the 105s, such a different ballgame on my level.

Events are not yet finalised, but I dont care, name down and think about the events later :D

Good move I reckon. 105s are full of beasts these days.

aye, when i look back at the open comps, the guys who i usually beat are fat unfit guys who are beastly strong but fade by the end of the comp and/or are slow

In 105 category, no such luck...

In reality this is all a smokescreen for my new found love for being RIPPED!
