I'm working on it! Thanks.....but patience is not something I'm good at.

With that being said tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day and probably the first time the Cowtown Marathon has had good weather. Around 40F at the start of the race, sunny, and no wind. A couple of years ago I stood at the start while they gave directions on what to do when the tornado sirens went off.
SOOOOOO, I can't stay home. grrrrrr and I know I'm not ready to even run the half without needing to sleep the rest of the day. BUTTT I can't stay home so I'm not. We have a guy in our club and this will be his 100th marathon and a lot of us have signed up to run a few miles with him. I have mile 14-17.

Ok, I really have to stop ending up on page two!

Monday-4 mile run easy, core workout
Tuesday- air was too cold and trying to follow at least part of doc rules
Wednesday-45 mins. trainer, pushed to get heart rate up
Thursday-5 mile run easy. Felt good but took it slow


Sorry for the dark picture but you got to love a man who runs a marathon on Saturday and then flies out that day to New Orleans for his 101 marathon the next day.!

Monday- 45 minute run on treadmill. Boring but it still hurts to breath in the cold air.
Tuesday- 1 hr spin class died around 40 minutes into it but stayed and just pedaled slow
Wednesday-50 min run on treadmill
Thursday- first time back in pool no need to say more
Friday- RAN OUTSIDE !!!! I know it's @#@ dark out when I run but it was OUTSIDE!!!!

gms, your return to running sounds similar to mine. I'm still stuck on the treadmill due to low energy, difficulty breathing and rain with strong winds outside all week. I'm hoping to get back outside for my Tuesday run. Hope your health continues to improve. Good luck with training next week...looks like you're on your way back.

thanks! My logging habit has gone down hill too. I need to work on that.

Saturday-6 mile jog, last mile still felt good enough to pick up the pace to about a tempo run

Sunday-off and slept in. I HATE TIME CHANGES especially this one

Monday-1hr easy swim, just didn't seem able to relax, upper body wayyyyy to tight

Tuesday- grrr raining. 45 mins on treadmill but 10 min. tempo pace. Only tripped on the stupid thing twice today.

Wednesday- I GOT TO RIDE MY BIKE. I love the wheel set....Aeolus 6.5, but it is going to take some getting used to the aerobar. My back is a little tight now.

Friday-45 min. swim

Saturday-8 mile run easy; beautiful morning; wearing shorts

Hey hey! You're back! How have you been? Pic? Yes I need to post a pic of my new wet suit Or is it my new shoes??? Pics are on the camera at home and lately I'm never there. Too bad my phone won't upload here.

Monday-1 hr run easy with a few hill repeats no pain in the lungs anymore Yipeeeee
Tuesday-1 hr swim-staying out of masters for awhile. Between current job, future job, kids, and mainly now being out of shape, I don't want to be in anyone's way. Seems easier for now to swim on my own.
Wednesday-1 hr bike ride-all flat, med. pace/20 min run...really just chasing kids around the track
Thursday-45 min swim. dropping my hip again when I breath grrrrr
Friday-1 hr bike ride

How about a 30 (or 100! ugh) day running challenge where we try to run as much as possible and aim for everyday (easy for you!). We could/should open it up to all on the running forum and track any who join? Hows that sound? Any other ideas?
