Vegan sports drinks! Doing a 39 mile walk over a two day period, so replenishing electrolytes will be a happy thing. Is SmartWater good for that or is another drink recommended?

I used to have staminade powder that you mix up and that was vegan. Also powerade in bottles. Unsure what it would be like in the US though.
Carmine would just single out red flavours though, wouldn't it?

Wouldn't nuts etc to snack on be a better idea, for the sustained energy you'll need, rather than the quick max efforts sports drinks are aimed at.

Nuts aren't a good choice while walking, as they're high in both fat and protein and these are the worst things to eat while exercising (though great afterwards).
