Yes it is flat and I've been out there to ride several times!!!! and yes on the thoughts on the new bike......I think

Thursday- 1hr spin class/run - :roll:

spin class was very difficult this morning and then 20 minutes on the treadmill.....which is about the most boring thing in the world

Friday-
am-1hr easy run
pm no swim/closed

Saturday-
15 mile run around Lake Grapevine at 8:50 pace. Mostly flat and a few trails

OFF WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leaving for California next week but first I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet

I HATE HATE shopping but oh well.

I can't imagine you are going to have any complaints if you go for that setup and it fits you: pretty full-on bike.

Have you managed to sit on one yet?

Phoo, those booties look pretty good. There are also windstopper socks and I know some people that swear by these socks: http://www.sealskinz.com/ Maybe frederikw has some suggestions for you since he is pretty much the ice man.

I think my feet are just going to be a problem. The doctor keeps suggesting some medicine that is suppose to help but I would rather take a spin class if it's too cold. I don't want to start taking medicine daily. I'm old but not that old :oops:

Tuesday-1 hr spin class endurance and 1 hr yoga
I LOVE TIME OFF WORK!!!
30 min. swim

Wed-1hr40min run-mod pace with 5 hill repeats at the end, heart rate 160
core workout-ouch I have neglected this for awhile

Thursday-traveling =got out before the snow got bad

Friday-1hr run very early- then tons of eating and fun

10 days in California

5 runs - 2 beach/dock runs and 2 trail runs -one on the trails around Griffith Observatory and one off Kanan Rd in Agoura Hills.

Had to run that one. My fathers favorite show was filmed there....MASH! and one road run around Westlake.

I finally got to meet my mother's boyfriend. My kids were not to happy to meet him. I think it is just a reminder my dad is gone. But everyone loved Dr. Mike.
2 short rides with my mom and Mike around Westlake Village.
3 -2hr rides with some old friends. I LOVE THE BIKE LANES THERE!

BEST PART OF ALL......THE DAYS WERE WARM. now back to 30s

STUPID PART....I lost my license. Getting out of LAX with only a school ID took 3 security guards, one long interview, an escort through x-ray....my son was in tears when they made him stand on the other side of the room and not talk to me. With as packed as the airport was I think they could have found someone better to bug for OVER an hour.

FUN- we went to the Rose Bowl Game, Disneyland (yes packed), beach several times (actually the temp was good), I MAX theater, Griffith Observatory, and saw several old friends

ahhh sunny warm STILL Cali... nicer in winter there than summer here! Glad you had a good trips. Nice running around Griffith Park, eh? Where are the marina pics taken?

Swimming goes soooo fast, it's frustrating! Comes back much more quickly than running tho. A few good weeks and you wont even notice you had time off.
