me and a couple of friends from my kettlebell class are entering this:

You are invited to the CrossFit Reading & FK.UK Strength and Power Invitational!

This event is inspired by the traditional Strongman competition, and this is reflected in the individual disciplines.

These disciplines will be a test of your raw strength and power - and a LOT of fun. There will be many toys to play with!

Athletes will be split by gender and then into 3 weight classes:

Men: Sub 75kg, 75-90kg, 90kg+
Women: Sub 55kg, 55-65kg, 65kg+

The disciplines are:

Deadlift
Press
Vehicle Pull
Overhead Throw
Heavy Medley
...and a surprise

These may be for reps, load, time or distance!

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday 21st Nov
(Registration cut off: Sunday 8th November)
Time: 1000 weigh-in for 1100 start
Location: Tadley RFC, Red Lane, Aldermaston, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 4PA
Athlete Entry Fee: £6

****** Vegan Atheist ******
Most atheists see themselves as realists - their atheism is a part of their willingness to square up to the world as it is and face it without recourse to superstition or comforting fictions about a life to come or a benevolent power looking after us.
