Does anyone live near Warrington?

Given it's location, I'd assume this place was better off getting the Dresden treatment, but I've heard that it's similar to Solihull (ie. some posh parts & actually being ok overall).

Can anyone give me any input on what's it like to live there?

Generally speaking, it is a boring and shit town. Probably most famous for it's big Ikea store.

You'd be better living in nearby Liverpool or Manchester.

Possibly. Also famous for being the hometwon of Kerry Katona and getting bombed by the IRA in the 90's.

Totally. Warrington has a shitty featureless concrete shopping arcade surrounded by busy main roads and identikit housing estates.

I'd recommend Liverpool or Manchester instead as they have culture and community and depending on your budget, some nice leafy bits.

There's also nearer places like Widnes, Rainhill and St Helens that I've never lived in personally, but people who do seem to like them.
