I am looking for a new gi, but this is too small. You have any inside info, how soon they will make bigger ones?

on a similar line is the `mma sportswear` company bornstronger.

I dont really like the look of their stuff but they do seem to push the fact they use recycyled materials and they seem to be aiming for the `green `mma brand label.chek out this article http://bornstronger.com/blog/2009/08/04 ... ng-octagon
.If you are into their gear they may be worth supporting(i.e. buying from )i guess .so far it all seems to be cotton or man made(yeah i know cotton aint that green but they are making moves in the right direction)

i am not recomending them ,i think their stuff is wack! But at least they are setting out a more eco freindly stall.

I like the bag, simple and decent.

Can't seem to find prices though?

$94.95. It's a cool bag, but not a great price. I'll have to think a little bit about getting it.

So I have this bag:

It ROCKS.

Here's the pseudo-formal review for it I wrote elsewhere:

It's a great bag that I can't recommend highly enough.

It's HUGE: I don't usually bring both my JJ and MT gear with me at the same time, but I always have gear for one of the two, plus A LOT of food in tupperware (I bring almost all my food for the day with me to work in the morning) and there's still room for more stuff. Even light days are workable because there are adjustable straps so you're not lugging around a gigantic almost-empty bag behind you.

I couldn't really tell from the pic's how soft and breathable the bag was. I guess it's the hemp. It looks really tough (i.e. uncomfortable) in the pics, but it is nowhere near that.

The external compartments are also deceptively big and the interior zip pockets are perfect for hand wraps, rashguards, etc...

I also found out that hemp is naturally anti-microbial though the bag is washable I guess if you really sweat like a monster...

Anyway I'm fairly neurotic when it comes to having all my stuff easily accessible when I need it AND being able to get where I need to go without it seeming like I'm carrying a giant suitcase that is always in somebody elses way with me. This bag is perfect to that extent.

Oh, and customer service: it's in the Bay Area so I emailed them to see if I could bypass the shipping charge and pick it up. The owner coordinated pickup on a weekend day (the next day) and took $5 off b/c I came to him. And he gave me a gi patch

It's kind of expensive, (this is $95; their bigger side-carried bag is 90) but it hasn't shown a single sign of wear yet and fulfills its function perfectly.

THere's also a fairly lengthy review with more pics here: http://www.grapplemonkey.com/2009/02/15 ... -1-review/
