Did you play it against other humans?

I played the demo briefly but only against the AI (billy no mates :(). Looks interesting but felt a bit ponderous to me.

I'll probably hang off buying it until I get a good 2 player session in, see what it's about.

Not long till Fight Night 4, that should be a classic too.

^ nope played against the AI too. Maybe you and I can play xbox live together.
A couple things are off, like one punch knockouts from nowhere, which is realistic but not really good for a video game.

Re. ponderous, there are definitely a lot of controls and actions to memorise, of the 5,000 combinations, grappling locks, reversals, etc I probably use 10 at the most.

I'll be on the PS3 version most likely.

Read a review of the game on Eurogamer and it sounds positive. It says the stamina display (which defaults to off) reveals a lot about why people get knocked out. Your stamina maxes out at your health level, but certain moves can drain it quite quickly making you more vulnerable to ko.

This story from late last year slipped under my radar though:

http://www.planetxbox360.com/article_5152/Jon_Fitch_Fired_After_He_Refused_to_Sign_UFC_Game_Deal

Fitch told Hardcore Sports Radio’s “Sports Rage” on Wednesday that he was cut from the promotion after he’d refused to sign an agreement that would have relinquished his likeness rights for a UFC video game.

He ended up signing the deal anyway and returned to the UFC.

yeah, they took him back in the end, but have been a bitch about it - like putting him on the undercard when he's ranked #2 or 3 in his division.

UFC Unleashed is the number one selling game in the UK this week, knocking that damn Wii Fit off the top spot :)

I just completed Crisis Core on the PSP, absolutely loved it. Put in about 18 hours in the end, mainly on the tube.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is up now.

Finished Portable Ops, very enjoyable although the bosses seemed a bit straightforward.

Tried a couple of FPS games on the PSP but they weren't too hot. Going to give Resistance Retribution a go soon.

Deep into Final Fantasy 7 (downloaded from PSN store) at the moment, off the back of enjoying Crisis Core. It's the PS1 game, no graphical update. It's still fairly pretty to look at, especially the 2d art. Character models are so low-poly that it jars a little. Got the Advent Children movie to watch as a reward once I complete it too.

Main news is the new television arrives today. Been holding off playing PS3 games until it came. Killzone 2 is first up I reckon, or maybe I can convince the wife to play through Resident Evil 5 co-op with me....

If anyone has played the FO3 DLC "The Pitt", I hope you enjoyed the story because bethesda stole it from me. They named a character after me though:

I'm totally famous... I wish

Here's what I've been playing lately: ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING

because my 2nd X-box crapped out.

a friend of mine repaired my old one (and kept it for the two months that it worked) so he's going to try and fix mine too, but looks like i'll either be buying a PS3 or a 3rd Xbox some time in the future.

the best part is that there are no licensed xbox dealers in bermuda, so my warranty is invalid after the store's 30 day policy is up.

Sadly The Pitt is only PC and XBox, I won't be playing it. You planning on a Fallout3 playthough though? I have a copy and it's on the list of things to do, looks pretty good.

I've got a brand new PS3 never used if anybody wants one. Platinum pack. Not interested in console gaming or purchasing a fullHD tellie at the moment.
Next time, I'll spend the money on drugs instead.

I have been playing BRAID on and off for three months and I am ashamed yet not embarassed to admit I still have not completed it.

What is wrong with me?

Is my brain which got hyped up so much by bullshit mensa just a pretty device in my head that half succesfully regulates processes such as "don't fart in public, you make vegans look like assholes"?!

I try again and again to get my head around those deceptively simple puzzles but it just does not seem to click. Creativity is zero. X-ray brain is completely dysfunctional. I feel worthless.

Thanks Braid, you game of the year, for making me feel less worthy than a shit flavored lollypop.

I'm currently playing the first Hitman (Hitman: Codename 47). Even though there's plenty of things that could've been done much better, I still love it. Played (and completed) the Silent Assassin years ago, so though I'd give the first part of the series a go and wasn't disappointed.

Looks like it is hitting PSN soon.
