Postby israel » Sat Jul 18, 2009 3:08 pm

what do you think is the best runing for mma ?

a normal mma round is something like 3 minutes??and there are something like 5 rounds ??

so for mma i shouldnt do long runs but rather do short ones right????

many people like HIIT or hill sprints bset for mma-training, but also running for longer times, or even swimming, can be useful. try both, see what suits you!

i would say, that, for example running for five five minute rounds is pretty nonsense, this could rather be applied in sparring, bagwork or circuit trainings.

where in israel are you training mma?

"Fight gone bad" looks like one of the most relevant training routines for MMA to me...

Weekly longer runs (say one hour) are useful for your general fitness, but the rest of the time I would do shorter 3-5 mile runs with sprint intervals, jumps, high-knee intervals and so on.
