Young veggie doing well!

Postby veganjkd » Thu Jul 09, 2009 9:38 am

Just wanted to drop this line about my 11 year old nephew.

He has been vegetarian for about 2 months now (and does not eat cheese!).
Yesterday was his school sports day,he came second in long jump and a track race and 1st in the shot put!

I am very proud of him, potential vegan strength athlete i reckon! :D

He showed me his shot put `gold` medal yesterday..i told him all about vegan fitness and the world of vegan strength athletes and started telling him that it is his duty to continue on this path in order to prove how kickass vegans are! (i reckon he will end up vegan as an adult).

Great news!
Next time, I'll spend the money on drugs instead.

Great stuff.

Warning: he will get the nutritionally illiterate telling him that he needs meat, and may question things. My son (running at just below county level) does. Organic Athlete have a set of videos from folk like Carl Lewis, Mac Danzig, and others which you may want to show him. And give him a tour of VF, especially the Vegan Atheletes sticky thread.

Well done to the man, hope he continues to fly!
