No, not in prison. I started doing karate and we got given 10 press ups when we got something wrong, and I started doing more at home. I've got short arms and was crap at all other sports so did a lot of press ups and got good at them.

But - my karate instructor could do about 50 press ups in a single set. Impressive? Well, he only had one arm.

Bloody 'ell, impressive, both you and the instructor.

I did tae kwon do years ago and they had the same system with the pressups - but I don't think I ever managed a set higher than 15.

So I decided to try this and managed 23, rather disappointing. I sometimes do pushups post workout and then usually sets of 10, guess if you want to be good at doing many in a row you have to practice just that.
100 seem far away but I'll be back with 30+ really soon... :)

Not a bad start Linnéa76, 30 should be easy enough in a couple of weeks I am sure!

^Sweet. For reasons of vegan pride someone needs to get a hundred soon.

Who will step up to the challenge? I reckon JemmyDucks is favourite.

I'll get on this. The trick is to be really well rested, and then psyched up like hell.

I've been focusing on high volume lately, as opposed to single sets, so this may take some extra work.

Just noticed this. I usually do 40 to 50 to warm up for benching and considering I hold the record for the clapping press up challange, I take the responsibility to blitz the 100 reps mark.
