Thanks HOL and emm7 :)

My Humira arrived today!!! Wahoo! :D :D :D - but, they sent me the wrong dosage - half of what I'm supposed to take! *sigh* That's okay, better than nothing :D . Oh, and they sent it as pre-filled syringes instead of pens this time so now I need to learn a new way of administering it!! *sigh x 2* I'm sort-of scared to try it (which is why I haven't yet), but here goes, wish me luck! I'm off to go stick a needle in my leg . . .

Don't know if this is of any interest, but maybe the gluten-free part is new to some people?

Gluten-free vegan diet induces decreased LDL and oxidized LDL levels and raised atheroprotective natural antibodies against phosphorylcholine in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a randomized study

My question comes now "bit" in advance, but I would like to know if some of rheuma-medicines are/aren't vegans?

I don't have any diagnosis yet, but X-rays showed some signs of arthritis in left hip as well as some abnormality in some vertebras, so doctor sent me to MRI to see more accurately what's going on. He told me that some kind of medication could be needed, but after MRI-results he knows better. I'm going to hear the results on Wednesday.

If the suspicions turns to some rheuma-related issue (e.g ankylosing spondylitis etc) and doc suggests some medication, it would be helpful if I had some kind of idea about medicines. Also easier to compare med's with doctor.

Doctor ordered G-Lenk 400 mg (glucosamine) for hip arthritis. After two months we'll see if it helps. I just sent question to G-Lenk's manufacturer to get information about the product (vegan?). At least Solgar has some glucosamine-product that is vegan. http://www.solgarnordic.com/glucosamine ... blets.html

There wasn't found any rheuma-signs from spine according to MRI. Two discs are wounded and doc said that I shouldn't do squats or DL for a year, there is a risk that discs will totally blow out and cause cord damage if I don't let them recover properly. Other one is swallowed to stomach direction and other one to the cord.

Now I've got Solgar's glucosamine for arthritis, should equal to G-lenk.
