What else could you do?

I think the greatest training sessions are the ones that nearly didn't happen.

good and painful point :(

nah, i guess i could do tons of things, but nice to specialise in something for a while and nail some new pbs for a fucking change!

No training in 3 days - pb?

so it was time to cash in on the front squat work.

OLYMPIC SPORTS GYM

front squats
5x70
5x90
1x110
1x130
1x150
1x170 - pb, a first proper single pb in 10 months, HELL YEAH!
fx175 - this will fall soon, this was a shit attempt
5x150 - auch, pb for 5, but damn that was painful

Couple single flips with the tyre, and then:

112kg suitcase farmers for 20m (16+ seconds) + 3 flips with the tyre. Tyre was way too slow.

Couple sandbag loads.

And that was it, mainly just watching milsy and traps putting in some great work!

Post recovery PBs are not counted mate :D Some milestones perhaps or "this is most i have done since the injury" type of stuff.

It was a solid bona fide PB for a change!

SUGDEN CENTRE

left shoulder rotator cuff or some other bollocks still sore (rear delt thingie, not sore at all apart from one very specific position with the shoulder), but have had 9 days off pressing, so it doesnt seem to be going with rest.

New plan is tough love. (and ibuprofein)

Power jerk off racks
loads with bar
5x40
5x50
5x60
5x70
5x80

couple sets of curls and tri pushdowns
few sets of machine shoulder press, only light

1hr Yoga. Pretty tough stuff bending and twisting all over the place. And balancing poses.

update on the comp i am planning to do:

OK, they have provided an update for the comp i am planning to nail in finland. They are combining it with the World Record Breakers u105 category, so there will be some international BEASTS in attendance as well to make guys like me look feeble

Not sure what to think about it all. Dont care what the events are to be honest, i will get nailed regardless. I'll let this sink in for a few days now...

If you work on your conditioning, I don't think you'll do as badly as you think. Aside from LP, the qualifiers aren't out and out heavy events.

Congratz on the front squat pb JP - a milestone for front squats and a milestone for nailing your first all time pb after surgery.
