The rabies shots buy you an hour or there abouts, to get to a hospital. So if you are in a very remote place, you are pretty much screwed. Like that lady who was bit in Goa. I have given it allot of thought, and I am not sure I would go to the hospital to have 9 injections in my stomach, which may not even save you lol.
Don't rely on DEET. We where using DEET 90%, and you still get bitten. Make sure you bring a mossie net. Doxycyclin also helps ward off dehli belly apparently.

Ill probably hit up some Doxycylin and if it starts making me ill will either ditch it or try another one.
