vegan runners training camp (Portugal) September 14-20 2009

Ok post all your thoughts / questions/ suggestions here about the vegan runners training camp 2009.

As discussed in James topic on his training camp in Portugal, we thought it might be nice to have a veganrunners training camp this fall (sept or october). We can rent an appartment, cook our own stuff (pasta), and run in the area, as well as have some track sessions.

idea is to have 2 traings a day.

james could you give a cost indication?

Where I stayed (Oasis Village) would be ~£50 per person (~55euros) for 6 nights for a 4 person apartment.

Assuming I can get holiday from work I'll be up for it.

It's about 30km from Faro airport.

The place is great for other stuff like cycling / mountain biking and rock climbing, so it would be good for non-runners if any wanted to go.

I'd definitely be interested but can't commit to it 100% at the moment

Sounds like it could be fun.

At the moment though I think cost would probably prohibit me from coming\going. I wont rule it out though and see how things pan out later in the year.

You can live very cheaply over there if you need to. Biggest cost would be the flight.

Should be ok with me but difficult to say for certain.

I think we should wait until late summer before booking.

I'm definitely interested - am still trying to sort out a few events including (hopefully) my first marathon around then, so not sure on best dates for me just yet. Any time in October sounds good, though.
