Been in Amsterdam for 3 days. We just walked around a lot really - bought some rings :D, some new running shoes to get fit and good-looking for the big day and i also finally got the courage and opportunity to get a belly-button piercing which means no swimming for a while :( Saturday we drove to North Wales to my mother-in-law-to-be and she did a hair trial for me and we discussed the cake. At 9 oclock we went bouldering for a couple of hours and then we drove back down to mid-wales.

I feel awful at the moment - no exercise and far too much junk food. I feel sluiggish and unhealthy and awful. I really need to get into regular exercise again. I desperately need my driving licence so I can go food shopping and do exercise. My next test is the 23rd April and my entire lifestyle is hanging on it.

Fingers crossed for you. Try and prepare yourself mentally and relax about it as much as you can.

I am so pleased today. Although I stil awful from lack of exercise etc I did get a quick bench press session in with my old training partners and as I trust their spotting I was able to test myself a little bit. I manage 3 hard reps with 45kg so pretty pleased with that :D Now that my work hours are getting better I may be able to train a little more often with my old training partners in the weights room. I also intend to run quite a lot as I cant swim due to my belly button piercing and I want to climb LOTS.

So my bench session looked like this:

10x25kg
10x40kg
3 +2 forced reps at 45kg dropset to 5 at 40kg
8 x 40kg

a tiny bit of indoor climbing
