Oh, I've been asked for a picture of my setup and I've been very slack lately in not doing so. My apologies. I took one tonight, with 92.5 ready to roll.

I'm not sure. At first I thought so but I don't think they are the same brand. The ones I have are the bodymotor ones.

Hey Scott, solid training as usual. Let's see some more PB's soon :)

Thanks for the photo. It's just nice to see photos other than those on the websites when you're thinking about buying equipment. Apparently Crazy Cheap are getting some new stands like those, but with a set of hooks for extra barbell storage. The safety stands are still $89 which is cool.

that was awesome work with the bench and squats man, also is that a treadmill tucked away in the corner...do MVS need to give you a 'no cardio' intervention

Either way it looks like a good setup, but I'm obviously bias 8)

For the moment yeah, the only way I will need more is if I increase my deadlift a lot, and seeing as that has kind of stagnated lately, I'm in the clear for the time being.

You are right, it is a treadmill. But to my defence you will also notice that the treadmill is in the correct "Powerlifting" position - ie folded up and shoved in the corner ;)

I am soooooooo looking forward to Sunday...!

Geez I wonder if someone is looking forward to Sunday MVS
treadmill in its powerlifting position, thats hilarious, I'll see if i can slip that in doing a spiel about them at work. "And if you lift it from the front you can put it in the patented powerlifting position"
going for any PB's?
I might have a crack at a new deadlift and squat, see how i feel on the day i guess

Sunday, 05/04/09 - MVS

What a day. Had a bit of everything... rain, epic bar bending near-misses, and of course, PB's!!!!!

Squat:
1x5 with bar
1x3 @ 60kg
1x2 @ 70kg
1x1 @ 80kg
1x1 @ 90kg
1x1 @ 100kg

Then the bar got bent... oh no... but still we carried on...

1x1 @ 112.5kg - PB
1xf @ 115kg
1x1 @ 115kg - PB
1xf @ 117.5kg

Deadlift:
1x5 @ 70kg
1x1 @ 110kg
1x1 @ 120kg
1x1 @ 130kg
1xf @ 142.5kg - this was rough I moved it about 1cm off the ground, then a few minutes later..
1x1 @ 142.5kg - PB

Bench:
2x5 with bar
1x5 @ 40kg
1x1 @ 50kg
1x1 @ 60kg
1xf @ 70kg - this really demoralised me. I expected to have no problems and I didn't want to settle with 67.. so again after a long break....
1x1 @ 70kg - PB ... probably the slowest rep I've ever done..
1xf @ 72.5kg - no chance but had to try anyway

Very happy with today. Time to eat and crash.

Tuesday, 07/04/09 - Home

Mini-session today. Still feel a bit sore from Sunday but not lazy enough to slack off.

Front Squat
1x5 with bar
1x5 @ 30kg
1x5 @ 40kg
4x3 @ 50kg

Haven't done these much so don't know what my max / work sets should be, but 50kg was enough to make my wrists protest so I reckon that is about it.

Military press
1x5 with bar
1x5 @ 30kg
1x2 @ 35kg
1x5 @ 40kg
1x4 @ 45kg (push) - presses felt quite weak today

Situps: 30, 20, 10 - getting easier
Plank: 60sec, 60sec, 45sec, also getting easier
Reverse crunches: 2x20
