Saturday, 14th February - MVS

Bench
5 x 5 @ 50kg
Negative @ 67.5kg - too heavy so it went down quickly, so not effective.

Squat
1 x 5 @ 85kg
4 x 5 @ 75kg

Deadlift (hook grip)
5 @ 70kg
5 @ 80kg
5 @ 85kg
5 @ 90kg
1 @ 135kg (mixed grip) - PB

Overall a very satisfying session today. Really happy about the bench, getting the full 5 sets out felt great. Also the deadlifts felt good today - grip felt really tight. Will aim for some more sets of 90-95kg next week.

Also this morning I picked up my olympic plates, 127.5kg all up.. oh yeah it's on now!!!!!!!!

So you can load up to 147.5kgs at home now? It won't be enough for much longer!

There's was definitely more in the tank on your deadlift.

For sure. In a few weeks I'll try for 140 - should be able to make it.

Monday, 16th February

Rushed home from work today to give to put the new home setup through its paces. Quite happy with it.

Squat
1x5 @ 60kg
2x5 @ 75kg
1x5 @ 77.5kg
1x5 @ 70kg

Bench
1x5 @ 40kg
2x5 @ 50kg
1x4 @ 52.5kg (fail on 5th)
1x5 @ 47.5kg

Deadlift
1x5 @ 70kg
1x5 @ 85kg
1x3 @ 90kg
1x1 @ 90kg
1x5 @ 90kg

Tried hook grip again today but it hurt so much more (like x10 more) than on Saturday. Maybe not the best thing to do that often. After the single at 90kg my thumbs went all tingly... so did the last set with mixed.

OH Press - strict
8 @ 30kg
6 @ 30kg
5 @ 30kg

I second that; you blew past your '08 PB's pretty quickly. What's your secret?

It's the name Andrew gave to his house, it's directly across the street from a cemetary.

Thanks for the kudos, no secrets, just giving it a go and (so far) getting results.
