It's lifting now and I'm working again, but still tired. I'm hoping to get back to training after the weekend.
Did my first Cross Country, it was a hilly loop course, very wet underfoot. I have no spikes, and as I'm no Cross Country runner and haven't been training much recently had low targets.
I found I was slipping around loads and found it hard to keep going. There were some small patches of concrete and I seemed to fly across them, so the terrain must have slowed me loads. Finished near the end of the field, got lapped, but judging by the position of club mates did OK relatively.
My son was in the U15s but is less than 13 1/2. He struggled and didn't qualify for the county, but did run well and put in a good race as well as an excellent finish that saw him move a place up.
