thing is, no one here knows jack shit about shot put  Which is why its a fun challenge.

in proper shot put you create momentum and speed through movement and then legs/hips/back twist drive through the line all the way to the shot.

But what i have seen so far, folks here just kind of shake around a bit and then toss it

But even with technique, getting past say 12-13m mark is very very difficult!

I am struggling to find a shotput here in Ireland. Will have to keep and eye out for one on my travels and then have fun taking it as hang luggage.

Anyone know any good sites to buy one?

Only postage option is 3 day TNT to Ireland and costs the same as the Shot. Postage is a bitch.

You're over in the UK regularly aren't you?

We could figure something out maybe. Then it's just explaining the shot to airport security. Although I think UK postage is over a tenner because of the weight.

That is true. I will be in Amsterdam next weekend and then in London for a week early next month.

So somewhere on my travels I will pick one up and get the added training of carrying it home. 8)

Its very appealing to get a big old second hand one, rather than a disco shiny thing. Lets face it Ill be using it in the rain anyway.
