Kind of a hissing sound.
“Begin at the beginning,” the King said gravely, “and go on till you come to the end. Then stop.”

I always saw sXe in Europe to be more political and more on the left, while in America it was more "crew stuff...I'm not talking about all people/bands, that was my general impression. And vegan straight edge is not within this category, just |plain| sXe

I don't understand why some straight edgers bring sex into it. I think veganism was another thing that was tagged into it later. I'm not of fan of the 'I'm this, you're that' mentality. I used to be straight edge (although I didn't like to call myself that) for 10 years. Now I drink a little maybe 1 or 2 beerss a fortnight.

Check out these guys on Richard and Judy from a couple of years back.

'Boo' to my 1 or 2 beers a month? Should I have more? haha!

I think the reason people feel the needed to label themselves is that most people are so intolerant and narrow minded of difference that to do something different like not drink has to be because 'I am...' not just because that's your choice. I went for a drink with a guitar player after a rehearsal a couple of years ago. He asked me what I wanted and to me saying in orange juice he replied 'no, come on have a beer', I reply 'I don't drink blah blah'. He came back 'come on blah blah' and this went on for about 5 mins where as if I just said 'I'm a muslim' or some group thing he would have accepted it.

I think this documentary covers modern deviation of straight edge where it's seen as coll, violent and gang in worst instance. It is missing a bit of roots, but I think that they aimed to demystified the whole confusion - these kids are every parents dream, how come they are gang (if they are)?

Does anyone have Earth Crisis appearance on MTV, doc. show about straight edge?

I dont know a single straight edge person I would consider a wigger. Richmond has a shit ton of straight edge people, although a lot of them are really scummy, but any of them that come off as a wigger are most likely just faking it. Theres a lot of scenesters though.
