indeed, brings that old question how far do you shave to a whole new dimension, not to mention when the UCI official is going to inspect for suspected rule violations

so you haven't noticed the caravan right next to anti-dopage, where riders are escorted to straight after the race to have their leg stubble measured?

graem obree'd hour record was illegal because he used the superman position and his leg hair was to substantial for him to be regarded as a proper racer

Yes that's right, and if the stubble is too long or doesn't go up far enough, they get sent to another caravan, where they are waxed in a particularly brusque and quite inconsiderate manner.

Don't pros shave their arms as well, just so that it matches?

not usually, just the legs. you'll see a lot of hairy arms in a pro-peleton, but no hairy legs. got to show off what you have :)

Ha ha !

It was at the ten mile championship, a few years ago. There was a hail storm, and he fell off, as the hail was really thick on the road. Afterwards, he was sat in the changing rooms, waiting to have the injuries dressed (shaved legs). I sat next next to him, to have a quick chat, and picked a bit of road muck off his leg, thereby touching his leg !

See. Very innocent ! :?
