free running?

Postby Asleep on a sunbeam » Sun Jul 20, 2008 10:11 pm

So I'm planning on getting new trainers, getting into shape etc.

I'll be practising my break falls, and trying to improve my balance as well.

I'm thinking that's great, my martial arts will hopefully improve, what about free running?

I've never tried it before, but all the videos I see are of people with great balance, great body movements, and yes, strength that I don't have, but a lot seems to be based on momentum as well.

hmm, I used to do parkour, i'm sure there would be some great cross training conditioning wise as with parkour you put your joints under a lot of stress. I stopped doing it to focus more on muay thai, but feel free to give it a go and don't let the hard conditioning put you off!
There is no try, only do.
