old skool heavy metal fans?

I recently saw a special on heavy metal and they said that Judas Priest was the band that started the look and started the move away from punk. Iron Maiden's Eddie was the heay metal mascot (never heard Bruce Dickinson sing before - wasn't half bad, but Eddie is gross! )

When I was younger I used to cut the neckline of my T-shirts (quite a few as I recall). I liked a few Judas Priest songs and loved Ozzy, but also Def Leppard and Skid Row.

Nothing wrong with Def Leppard, the Hysteria album is one beautifully engineered and produced album.
Great songs too.

On the subject of metal themed vegan shirts I used to have an awesome slayer one. Said vegan in the slayer writing on the front with the circle swords logo and 'veganic werchmact' on the back, lost in the mists of time.

Also, i saw saxon twice a few years ago, 'Saxon' once and 'Biff Byfords Saxon' the next time. Both were boss.

When I was 16 I wanted to marry Robert Plant. My top musical heroes were Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Primus, Joy Division and Hawkwind.

I had bum-length permed hair that unlike the other girls I didn’t spray or backcomb, but just left to go greasy.

My favourite outfit was a black Merseyside Hunt Saboteurs t-shirt, a stonewashed denim jacket with an embroidered rat on it, and a turquoise ankle-length skirt. I was too shy to wear dramatic make up or jewellery or purple knee high boots or owt like that.
