Who is your favorite MMA/NHB Fighter, what was your favorite MMA/NHB Fight. Kickboxers of any style and Kickboxing can be included.

Picking a favourite fighter can be as scientific as picking your favourite movie.

Thiago is brazilian, bjj expert mofo with heavy hands and brings tons of attitude to the ring. Looks fucking scary when he is hyped up to a fight, i would definitely just leave the ring and call my mom :D

try to catch some of his fights, he hasnt had that many in the UFC, looking forward to the next one!

Wanderlei Silva in MMA of course, the guy's fights are never boring

K1/Kickboxing I'd have to say one of my alltime favorites is Andy Hug. He wasn't the biggest or strongest fighter, he just had the heart of a warrior and champion

My favourite fighter:
George St Pierre

Anyone who can hold their own on the ground against BJ Penn and knock out Matt Hughes is a pretty accomplished fighter in my book! I've never seen a dull St Pierre fight. He's quick, powerful and his technique is bang on.

PS. I'm not saying that GSP is the best fighter, merely that I find him most entertaining to watch.

GSP definitely is great, I enjoy his fights a lot.

I'm surprised though there isn't many Bisping fans here (a lot of people from the UK on this site) :) He seems to be doing much better and looking sharp at 185

I do like "The Count".
No arguing his stand up is pretty impressive.
I think that's quite a "British" trait in fighters.
I think they seem to want to bang away where others would shoot.
I don't like the way Bruce Buffer mis-pronounces his name, though!

fedor- because he's freakin fedor
crocop- his style of fighting where he just kind of stalks people is terrifing
wanderlei- he's just so brutal
andrei arlovski- a guy i'd go gay for
urijah faber- he's just so fast, unique and has insane conditioning

as for favorite fight it's too hard to say.

Despite looking great in his wins, I think the ko loss to Serra should count against GSP more than it does in the mind of fight fans.

Serra is smaller and had only one victory due to strikes prior to their fight. It was a truely shocking defeat.

I would have to say that currently my favorite fighters are:

Lyoto Machida -
He has that quality of a classic martial artist, and seems to be the last of a dieing breed in the sport. His style is very calculated and leaves nothing to sloppiness and chance.

Cung Le-
Same as above.

Mac Danzig-
For obvious reasons.

Fedor Emmelianenko-
Fedor is a machine. Cold, calculating and unfeeling. He's just a dream to watch as he transitions from one realm to another in the course of a fight.

Georges St. Pierre-
Just a respectful fighter that can kick the crap out of you with his kyokushin and out wrestle you on the mat.

Clay Guida-
Just a great fighter that pushes the pace and his dynamic to watch.



My favorite fight in recent memory would have to be Clay Guida vs. Roger Huerta from TUF 6 finale. What a great fight.
