Oh I definitely think you can make that time! Seems that if you just keep doing what you're doing (and don't get hurt!) you'll have it.

Mmmm....Indian Chai...

seriously hun, it's like i'm drinking dessert. the rice milk has a neutral/nutty flavor so it really compliments the spices. here's the brand i drink- it's addicting!!!!

chai

Postby JohnV » Tue Apr 15, 2008 7:28 pm

Back in my lactovegertarian days I once made 750 gallons of chai in 2 weeks. ( I was manager of a Hindu temple and we had 200 campers, plus 800 to dinner) Now I make vegan chai, which I'd thought laughable then, when I also used the evil white cane sugar.

You can buy tea for a few bucks a pound well suited at any Indian store. I prefer Assam, (a state known for a variety of strong tea) Boil water with any combination of fresh grated ginger, fresh ground green cardamon, whole black pepper, cinnamon (fresh ground of course) and clove (easy to over do, 1 whole clove is enough for a half dozen cups, don't grind) when it's boiled a minute, shut off, add a heaping spoon of tea to the pot, cover and steep as desired. (never more than 5 minutes) Strain through a fine seine and sweeten as needed. ( I don't)Add rice milk or unsweetened soy and heat back to scalding. Slurp while hot for an authentic experience. Only Englishmen wait 'till it's cool enough to sip politely.

Chai should always be drank fresh.

ughhhhh I ate so much Jew food yesterday during the seder. I have to go to another one tonight. Even though I felt so tired today I knew I had to work out to make up for tonight's eating. I'm going to try to control my portions and not eat everything in sight. This is my first Passover not eating meating, eggs, etc but it hasn't been bad. My two cousins who I'm seeing tonight are vegan too so there will be options for me :)

cardio:
70min bike while reading a novel for a class

weight machines:
50X leg press
30X chest press
20X calf press

30X hip adductor

ab workout

20X curl ups with weight

food so far:
matzah with haroset
2 kosher cookies
tangerine
omg so much food tonight at the seder. I need to fast for two weeks now.
