I'm getting worried. Go to a doctor. You've been sick for ages now. I know you need an excuse for May, but you shouldn't risk your health for it.

Shit benching and squatting by the way ;)

I've been at docs tons over past couple months. They don't know anything... Generally feeling much better, but this is just manflu - sniffly and snitchy, no big deal, just trying to get some sympathy. Of course, all this weight loss and illness has really hit me hard... if it hadn't been this way there is no way I would have been beaten at the strength weekend, but now, well...

Shit benching and squatting by the way ;)

Now it's war!!!! :)

Man-flu put a stop to training in the later part of the week, but it's pretty much fully shifted now, so back to it today, and a decent session;

Log press
w/ups with 30&50
5x60
3x70
2x75
1x80
fx80 - tried to breathe at the top, and as before, tension goes and the press goes to shit. Not sure whether to work on this, or just focus on nailing a solid clean and pressing straight off which is what I've done in the past...
5x70
8x60

Arm over arm pull - set this up for first time running through the unit and used the big chain. Worked really well, and weight was about spot on I'd say. Was good to do an event that was fairly close between Garryboy, Craigman, Jnr, Project, and myself. Was basically pulling the chain (300kg?) for about 10-12m I'd say. First run got 42secs, but really just 'smoothing the run for the others' and nailed 23secs on the second go, so was chuffed with this. Great event, and will do it again soon.

Farmers - 70kg for 15m (caved under peer pressure)

Incline log press
8x70

Stones - no tacky
2x1x80
1x100 - first time without tacky (i'm pretty sure anyway) so was chuffed to make it.

Left it at that. Really fun sesh, and look forward to next one. Strength is still low as fuck, but I can feel it coming back slowly but surely...

Thanks man, aye, was pretty solid, though followed by a shite one on Tuesday;

Push press
8x50
5x60
3x70
2x1x80 - fucking gringers, just can't get the snap at this weight, and no tricep strength to lock them out - plan - lockouts in the cage now and again.

Front squats
5x60
3x3x80

18"deads
3x100
2x140
1x180
fx200 :? Fucker, called it a day.

Tonight (better session)

Clean and Power Jerks
5x50
1x60 (3 presses)
1x70 (5 presses - happy with these)
2x70 (no pressing)
5x50 (no pressing) :?

Squats
8x65
3x95
2x115
1x130 - felt good
1x140 - grinder, but just off the groove

Front squats
3x65
2x85
1x100 - all clean grip. 100 felt good, flexibility getting better with these.

Deadlifts
3x90
1x130
fx160 - double overhand
1x160 - mixed, fine.

CG bench
8x60
5x80
3x90
2x100
12x60

Happy with pretty much everything :)

I vote for having the strength weekend tomorrow! :D
:P

Good way to recovery, disco bunny! Training is getting better! You'll be 100% in May again - unfortunatly that won't be enough ;)

Ach, should get to about 85% by May, which will mean 165/120/200 enough to seal the victory... :P

Today;

Cleans
w/ups with wee log and 50kg
3x60
2x65
1x70
1x75 (and 3xpush jerks)
2x60

Log press
5x60

Log cleans
3x1x95
1x105 - felt good. Failed this few weeks ago so happy to nail it.
fx115 - not today

Incline log press
8x70
4x80

Left it at that. Might do some event stuff through the week.

Good sesh today, everything making steady progress week on week so can't ask for more;

Clean + push jerk
5x50
1x60 (3xpress)
1x70
1x75(continental+2xpress)
1x80(continental+2xpress - failed on 3rd)
Happy with these, but struggle to get the jerk/snappiness into them when it gets heavier. Felt good up to 75, but the 80's didn't snap like I'd like them to. Happy to nail them tho, should have got the third but lost it to the front for some reason)
fewx60 - trying to focus on getting the elbows out and starting the press/jerk from the delts rather than the hands.
fewx50 - splitting the jerks

Squats
6x65
3x105
3x130 - nice
2x140 - not easy, but solid enough
2x125 - felt good

Front squats
3x65
1x85
1x105 - fucking grinder. weight is ok, but getting used to clean grip is a bastard, really plays havoc with something in my right shoulder.

Strict press
8x50
3x60
1x70
8x50
All felt good. Tricep strength slowly returning :)

Pull ups
2

That's it!

I'm sorry i wasn't clear enough.
I was talking about 100% of your personal genetic potential, not the weights you'd need to lift at your current bodyweight to qualify for Dalmeny's Monthly Powerlifting Comp ;)

Training seems to get better (hard to tell tho). I hope the Edi Cult gets rid of the man flu and all other bugs soon!
Repeat this 5 times in the morning and evening:
"VEGAN STRONGMAN POWER, AAAAAAHH! I AM INVINCIBLE!!"
Maybe it helps ;)

Ah Krypto-son, I see you are still very fluid in your trash-talking methods, let's just see how the numbers pan-out on the day my good man :) No need for the Vegan Strongman mantra, just good raw calories, and plenty of masturbation :D

Anyway, training;

Power cleans
up to 65, feeling ok, just keeping it light on the lemon tonight tho.

Clean pulls - first time doing them. Felt weird, but not sure how they should feel really. Maybe weird is ok. Did a few at 80, and a couple at 90.

Squats
5x50
5x80
3x110
3x3x130 - brought the stance in a lot, and felt pretty good. All sets were solid. Numbers creeping back up, and confident of progression over coming times.

CG bench
8x50
5x75
5x90
1x105
15x60

Nice enough.

Thanks Jonobol!

Strongman day;

Log press
w/up w/50kg c&p on bar
4x60
3x70
1x75 - felt good.
1x80 - f on 2nd. Doing these outside and was blowing a gale (excuse)
fx85 - not today.
6x65 - better
6x60

Yoke and tyre medley
240kg yoke - 10m, 4x280kg tyre flip - got the lungs pumping, but both yoke and tyre felt decent. Not fast, but solid enough.

Frame deadlift
medium tyre x 31second hold. Weight is fine, but hand hurting like fuck, and left arm started to go numb, so bailed! :)
2x1xmedium and wee tyre - tougher than should have been.

Stones
1x80
1x100
1x115
5x100 - nice. First time doing reps on stones for ages. Again, not fast, but happy to make 5.
