I might have a hernia. Lots of stomach pain the past few days, bloating, raw/crusty belly button hole. I'm going tomorrow to the health center to see what they say.

If it does end up being a hernia I will need a surgery, and with my insurance it's going to run $1500-$3000.

That sounds really painful, it'll be great to get on the way to ending it.

Hey don't worry so much about the insurance thing, your health is more important than that, can't really go through life without wanting some medical attention to something.

Really though, unless we all have disposable incomes, reliance on insurance to cover your health sucks big time!

Hugs and well wishes! How'd the appointment go?

Very well (for what it could have been). My doc thinks I have either a staph infection or stomach flu, she ran some blood work to check my vit levels, thyroid, etc. The results come in thursday so hopefully everything is good. She thinks a hernia is unlikely, but the blood work will show more.

I feel like I dodged a bullet with this, whew!
